You can simply increase your internet speed in BSNL internet in windows 7 by a simple DNS mehod . Everyone is not aware of this mehtod. You can increase upto 50% of internet speed in Windows 7.
Increase Internet Speed Through Open DNS
BEFORE THIS STEPS YOU HAVE TO DISABLE 20% RESERVED SPEED IN WINDOWS
STEPS TO INCREASE INTERNET SPEED IN WINDOWS 7 BY OPEN DNS METHOD
1. Open your Control panel and select ' NETWORK AND INTERNET '.
2. Then , Click on ' NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER' .
3. In Network and Sharing Center select ' CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS '[ on left hand side]
4. Now you can see some internet connections which you Use on Windows 7. Right Click on your Current working Internet connection and click ' PROPERTIES'.
5.Now in the properties Dialog box, Select the “TCP/IPv4” Service in the list, and then click Properties button.
Now there you can see IP address and DNS Settings. In the DNS Section fill the DNS servers given below .
Preferred DNS Server : 208.067.222.222
Alternate DNS Server : 208.067.220.220
Alternate DNS Server : 208.067.220.220

@shaitan . BSNL is only giving that downloading speed ie 1/8 of browsing speed or if you want rates as low uese BSNL NIC for RS 300/month unlimited which has similar speeds

ReplyDeleteIf u really want to increase browsing speed use Google DNS.. Downloading speed not guaranteed. Because DNS doesn't do anything for download experience. Basically it helps in Domain look up
